NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds November 25
Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay a way from on November 25 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.
Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:
7 p.m. ET: Brooklyn at Cleveland, Orlando at Detroit, Memphis at Indiana
7:30 p.m. ET: Minnesota at Atlanta, Sacramento at Boston, Charlotte at Miami, Philadelphia at Toronto
8 p.m. ET: Portland at Chicago, Utah at Milwaukee
8:30 p.m. ET: LA Lakers at San Antonio
10:30 p.m. ET: Oklahoma City at Golden State
How this works:
Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.
Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.
Studs
Karl-Anthony Towns (at ATL – $10,400 on DK; $11,600 on FD): The Hawks are very weak against the position and though KAT has been just around value, this feels like a game where he exceeds value by a big margin. He’s nearly guaranteed a double-double and he’ll likely have a monster scoring game against this Hawks defense.
Jonathan Isaac (at DET – $7,900 on DK; $7,000 on FD): Isaac is on a nice little run in his last couple of games and the price remains good on FanDuel. The price might be a tad too high on DraftKings, but the matchup is so good as the Pistons are weak against the position. Isaac should be able to keep his run up with a strong outing here.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at GS – $6,700 on DK; $7,000 on FD): SGA can be hit and miss, but this matchup is too good to pass up, especially on DK. He could flirt with a double-double in this game and while that might seem a little too high on the expectations, we know he can do a bit of everything and this is a perfect matchup for him to deliver.
Wendell Carter Jr (vs POR – $6,500 on DK; $7,000 on FD): Much like SGA, Wendell Carter can be up-and-down. He was up in his last game, so if the trend holds, he would be down in this game. But I expect him to break the trend given the matchup. The Blazers have nothing to offer in their frontcourt and Carter is a guy who is a double-double threat on any given night.
Jimmy Butler (vs CHA – $7,700 on DK; $9,600 on FD): Butler didn’t have a great return against Philadelphia but throw that one out the window. He’s playing the Hornets on Monday. Butler will return to form in this game, doing a bit of everything and slicing up the Hornets defense. He’s a great value option among the high salary guys on DraftKings.
