Monday Night Football presents the FanDuel/DFS community with an outstanding matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Rams! Let’s evaluate this game from a fantasy perspective!

Before we discuss my player selections let’s take a look at the key DFS injuries for this football game and briefly discuss the rules for the FanDuel single game contest.

Key DFS Injuries

Baltimore Ravens: DOUBTFUL: Chris Moore, WR. Los Angeles Rams: None.

Now let’s briefly discuss the rules for the Fanduel single game contest. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your MVP. The FanDuel MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard FanDuel points value.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard FanDuel points. Having stated that, it is highly important that you identify the correct football player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the FanDuel single game contest, I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

I should note that although Los Angeles wide receiver Robert Woods is not listed on the injury report, Rams head coach Sean McVay reported on Friday that he was unsure if Woods would be active Monday night. Woods was a late scratch from last Sunday’s game due to “personal” reasons.

I think Robert Woods will likely play in this football game. However, if you are considering playing Woods in your FanDuel single game lineup I would caution you to pay close attention to the inactive list that the NFL releases an hour before game time on Monday night.

Let’s not waste anymore time! Here are my FanDuel player selections for Monday night football!

MVP-Lamar Jackson $17,500

For me, the clear choice for MVP of my FanDuel single game lineup is Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Why am I rolling with Jackson? Well, let’s look at some of Jackson’s current statistics. I think after I review his statistics the answer of why he is my MVP will clearly be answered.

In the Ravens last five games, Lamar Jackson ran the ball 66 times for a total of 476 rushing yards. Additionally, he added five rushing touchdowns. In that same five game span, Jackson had 987 passing yards and eight passing touchdowns. It has to be said that his recent statistics are outstanding!

In summary, I fully recognize that Jackson has a rather expensive FanDuel price of $17,500. That is fine with me. The man is worth every penny!

Flex Plays

Todd Gurley $13,500

Next up for me is Rams running back Todd Gurley. As I evaluated the Rams offense it became clear to me early on that I did not have a great deal of confidence in quarterback Jared Goff or any of the Rams wide receivers from a fantasy standpoint in this game.

Having stated that, I am going with Gurley due to my strong belief that he will be highly involved in the Los Angeles Rams offense on Monday night. Additionally, I think Gurley has a good chance to perform relatively well from a fantasy perspective against the Ravens defense.

Yes, I know that Gurley has not had the best year. However, considering my player options in this game, I think he presents decent upside as a flex play.

Mark Andrews $12,500

For my next flex play I am rolling with one of Lamar Jackson’s favorite targets. In my opinion, Mark Andrews is a lock for at least four receptions and 50 yards receiving. Additionally, I think that Andrews has the real chance of scoring multiple touchdowns in this game.

If you need data to support my opinion I can certainly provide it! In Andrews last three games, he has 12 receptions and added three receiving touchdowns.

George Everett $8,000

Although Everett only had one reception for 20 yards in last Sunday’s game, I think he has the potential to bounce back versus the Ravens.

An example of his potential can be illustrated in the Rams week 10 game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. In week 10, Everett had eight catches for 68 receiving yards. There is no doubt in my mind that George Everett could post those type of numbers again on Monday night.

Nick Boyle $7,000

For my last selection I am taking a chance on Ravens tight end Nick Boyle. At a FanDuel price of only $7,000, I think he can easily return his fantasy value in this football game.

Lamar Jackson has targeted Boyle 12 times in the Ravens last three games.
