Jarvis Landry had his revenge game against Dolphins

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry certainly had his revenge game Sunday his former team in the Miami Dolphins. He went off, to say the least.

Revenge games are the best. We always hope to see a player stick it to his former team whenever he next plays them. Fortunately for us, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry did not disappoint when his new team took on his former team in the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.

Cleveland won easily 41-24. It was a completely dominating performance by the Browns, who improved to 5-6 on the year and stay alive to some degree in the AFC playoff picture for another week. The Fantasy Footballers had a feeling that Landry was going to have a big day vs. his former team. He most certainly did just that.

Landry had 10 catches for 148 yards and two touchdowns to lead all receivers in this game. This was by far his best fantasy performance of the season for him, as he managed to get around 26 fantasy points in some leagues. Only twice before had he even been in the teens.

Can we reasonably expect Landry to keep this kind of fantasy performance up? While he may not explode against another team as he did against his former team on Sunday, the Browns’ schedule is significantly less daunting than it was even a month ago. He has been a favorite target of quarterback Baker Mayfield since they both arrived in Northeast Ohio ahead of last season.

In terms of if Landry is going to get you over 20 points again with great regularity in fantasy, that may not be the case. However, you should feel completely confident to start him the rest of the season because he should be able to get you in the high-teens most weeks.

What Landry’s performance tells us more than anything is if you have an emotional player going against his former team in a revenge game, it is worth the gamble to start the guy. Landry saved his best vs. the Dolphins and if you started him last week, you deserve a ton of credit for paying attention.
