Are liquor stores open on Thanksgiving?

Whether it’s a last-minute surge of guests for Thanksgiving or a lack of wine for cooking with, we have the answers to your Thanksgiving questions.

If you’re reading this, it might already be too late. For buying alcohol that is. Not every state is running the same in regards to their liquor laws, so it’s best to have planned ahead before the big turkey-day celebration. If you’re behind on drinks for the event, need something with a bit more flavor to cook with because your in-laws have never heard of basting, or might just be looking for somewhere – anywhere really, to buy incidentals like milk or coffee filters, liquor stores are a good place to handle this kind of thing last minute.

Assuming they’re legally allowed to be open. Not every state will have options, in Ohio while it’s not illegal to buy liquor on Thanksgiving, the stores that are legally able to sell it are closed.
