In the spirit of Thanksgiving, these are just some of the many things college football fans can be thankful for as the 2019 regular season comes to a close.

The Thanksgiving season is a time to do exactly that: give thanks. Though we should always be thankful for the good things in our lives, this is the time of year and the holiday dedicated to taking the time to truly appreciate all that we have in life. And for college football fans, there is always a lot to be thankful for, even if those things change from season-to-season.

Now, you might be thinking that Thanksgiving is a sad time for college football fans and the reasoning behind that isn’t unfounded. After all, the holiday means that there is only one week’s worth of games remaining in the regular season. And while that still means conference championships and bowl games are coming, the season is winding down.

But let’s not be pessimistic about that. After all, we still do have the conference title games and the bowls. The fact that those matchups signify the end of the season shouldn’t be lamented but they should rather be celebrated because of how much enjoyment they’ll bring to us as fans as we wrap up another season.

On top of that, we should also simply be thankful for what has been a phenomenal college football season to take in. Whether it’s been unforeseen Heisman frontrunners emerging, Chase Young eating quarterbacks alive, Baylor and Minnesota looking to spoil the College Football Playoff party much deeper into the season than anyone anticipated or anything else, there is so much for us to look back on and appreciate.

In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday, that’s exactly what we’re going to do. These are 10 things that college football fans should be thankful for when looking back on the 2019 season.
