Week 13 is an important week for a lot of fantasy football owners, and Chris Conley has the kind of favorable circumstance to put him firmly on the radar.

In most fantasy football leagues, this week (Week 13) is the final week of the regular season. So earning a playoff spot, or improving a playoff seed, is in play for many owners. Taking advantage of particularly favorable matchups at this point in the season is important, and with that I present Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Chris Conley.

In Nick Foles’ two starts since returning from a collarbone injury, Conley has 10 receptions on 17 targets for a total of 20.7 fantasy points (full-point PPR). That’s good for a 17.9 percent target share over that span, and he had a team-high in air yards in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans. Conley has at least seven targets in five straight games, with at least 8.9 fantasy points (full-point PPR) four times in that span.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are allowing the most fantasy points to wide receivers by a good margin through Week 12, with the gap between them and second-most (Yahoo!, 0.5-point PPR scoring) is almost as wide as the gap between second-most and 15th-most. They are also the only team allowing more than 200 yards (206.1) and more than 25 targets (25.6) per game to the position.

Among Jacksonville wide receivers, D.J. Chark (94 percent owned on Yahoo!) and Dede Westbrook (68 percent owned on Yahoo!) are clear-cut low-end WR2/high-end WR3 starts this week in fantasy. But Conley (23 percent owned on Yahoo!, 18.3 percent owned on ESPN) has nice upside with a solid target share and as a good matchup as it gets.

It will take some guts to start Conley is such a critical week, with a wide range of possible outcomes to go with the substantial upside in a great matchup. But in deeper leagues, there are a lot worse ways to fill a flex spot even with the boom-or-bust potential. And if you’re facing a big deficit with three Week 13 games already in the books, Conley’s upside as a plug-and-play option has to be on the radar.
