NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds December 2
Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay a way from on December 2 in NBA Daily Fantasy Sports on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.
Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:
7 p.m. ET: Phoenix at Charlotte, Utah at Philadelphia
7:30 p.m. ET: Golden State at Atlanta
8 p.m. ET: Indiana at Memphis, New York at Milwaukee
10 p.m. ET: Chicago at Sacramento
How this works:
Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.
Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.
Studs
Domantas Sabonis (at MEM – $8,000 on DK; $8,300 on FD): It’s a back to back for the Grizzlies, who are weak against the position. Sabonis is a walking double-double at this point and his scoring output should be huge. He had a monster game against the Grizzlies a week ago and should be in line for similar, if not better, numbers on Monday.
Trae Young (vs GS – $10,500 on DK; $10,000 on FD): You typically know what you’re getting from Trae Young and you should expected even more on Monday. The Hawks got embarrassed in their last outing and now they have a chance to return the favor against a Warriors team on a back to back, who also aren’t very good. He could easily be the top scorer on the night.
Joel Embiid (vs UTA – $10,300 on DK; $10,900 on FD): The Jazz will be better than they were on Sunday. They honestly can’t be much worse. But if they struggle once again, Embiid is going to feast. The Jazz are worse against the position than you may expect given that they have Gobert.
Kelly Oubre Jr (at CHA – $7,000 on DK; $6,800 on FD): Oubre can be inconsistent but there’s a lot to like about this matchup. He’s a high ceiling guy who can do a bit of everything and the matchup is excellent. This should be a high scoring affair and Oubre will definitely find a way to make an impact. He’s at a good price compared to the rest of the field as well.
Terry Rozier (vs PHO – $6,700 on DK; $7,100 on FD): As mentioned above, the game between Charlotte and Phoenix should be a high scoring affair. And much like Oubre, Rozier can be an inconsistent option. However, given the matchup, this is a game where Rozier should shine. There’s some great value in this game because Charlotte and Phoenix have low-end, high salary guys.
