DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:

Best Bets:

Zach LaVine ($8,000): I’m a firm believer in not reaching on large slates like this. I usually wont play Booker anyway. I definitely wont when he’s the same price as LaVine. LaVine put up 59.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Memphis. He’s still a shooter first, but LaVine put up enough peripheral numbers to give him a good floor even at this price. LaVine is the high-profile scorer that the Bulls needed to step up. Now they can build around him. So can we.

Devonte Graham ($7,700): I keep expecting Graham to slow down, but so far he hasn’t. Even though Graham went just 1-10 from downtown on Monday, he still racked up 39.5 DraftKings points. It has been Graham, not Rozier, that is really propelling the offense. That’s not to say that Rozier hasn’t done a great job as well. It’s just that Graham has taken his game to the next level and beyond. He’s still worth the price here, even though the Warriors have been stingy against guards lately.

Buddy Hield ($7,400): This is a plus matchup for Hield, but he has played Portland twice already this year and been a dud for the price in both of them. Hield’s price is high enough that we need at least 38 DraftKings points to feel like we got a decent deal. While he has been over that mark in three of the last four games, he was nowhere close in either game against the Blazers.

Honorable Mention:

Donovan Mitchell ($7,100): Mitchell’s recent slump has contributed to his price dropping, but he did put up 42.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Lakers. The volume hasn’t diminished, but the lack of assists and rebounds is a bit concerning. That puts a major cap on his upside until he gets the secondary numbers back up.

Khris Middleton ($6,100): Middleton started in the last game, but only played 18 minutes in the blowout win over the Knicks. That was less minutes than in his load managed games! The Bucks aren’t going to go nuts with Middleton’s minutes, but if he plays around half the game at this price, he could be a huge bargain. We know what Middleton can do with a normal workload. Keep an eye on the news, but if Middleton isn’t limited, he’s cheap.

Joe Harris ($5,700): Harris has four straight games of at least 32 DraftKings points and has hit that in five of the last six. Now he gets the Hawks. 32 would seem to be the floor for Harris tonight. He’s a strong value play in any format with Irving still out.

Dark Horses:

Derrick Rose ($5,500): Rose has been a consistent commodity off of the Detroit bench. At this stage of his career his is more shooter and passer than creator, but Rose has adjusted his game to still be one of the more reliable contributors out there. LouWill has spoiled it for sixth men everyone. He’s the unicorn of sixth men. Rose would be regarded as a great sixth man if we had never heard of Lou Williams.

Jarrett Culver ($4,900): Culver has responded well to his new starting role, putting up at least 24 DraftKings points in four straight games. Culver still isn’t playing a ton of minutes so there isn’t a lot of upside here. However, he’s starting at this low of and price and putting up consistent numbers. We could do a lot worse.

Duncan Robinson ($4,500): Robinson is getting extended run with Dragic out and he is making the most of it. Robinson has three straight games of more than 30 DraftKings points and flirted with 40 last night. He wont do that against Boston, but 5x value is very likely and the potential for more is very good.
