John Morrison has signed a new deal with WWE, and has the world in front of him.

On Tuesday night, WWE announced that John Morrison had re-signed with the company. It marks the end of an eight-year absence for him, but he’s excited for the road ahead.

For those that need a refresher, Morrison is former tag team champion and ECW Champion. He made a habit of theatrical performances in the Royal Rumble, developing the ability to get back to the ring after everyone thought he had been eliminated. Overall he was an entertaining superstar to watch and had one of the coolest slow-motion entrances you’ll see in wrestling.

Now that he’s back, the question that needs answered is where he will land. Nearly the entire WWE roster has changed since he left for Impact Wrestling and other pastures. With a trip to Monday Night Raw, it could mean matches with the likes of Ricochet, Andrade and AJ Styles. Having been a former world champion, one would wonder how he would hold up against WWE champion Brock Lesnar one day.

If he were to enter Friday Night SmackDown, a very familiar face would be waiting for Morrison’s arrival. Early in his WWE tenure, he teamed up with none other than The Miz. From their weekly “Dirt Sheet” segments to winning the WWE Tag Team Championship to their eventual split and feud, the two could either reunite or reignite the old brawls. That has already been a highly discussed option among a lot of fans, who have followed the company since they were partners.

At worse case, he could still take a stroll through the land of NXT. That would open up matches against Finn Balor, any member of The Undisputed Era, Tommaso Ciampa, and all of the young talent trying to make their name. The thought of Morrison and Balor headlining ANY show is worth the price of admission, just for for the mesmerizing encounters the two could have.
