DraftKings NBA picks December 6: Can Giannis dominate again?
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Power Forwards:
Best Bets:
Anthony Davis ($9,600): You never really know how the Lakers are going to shake out on any given night, but this feels like a Davis night. The Blazers are horrible on the interior. Can you imagine Melo trying to guard this guy? I’m more of an immovable object on defense than Melo is, even though I’m about ten inches shorter. They might put Whiteside on A.D. but it wont matter. This could be a monster for Davis.
Domantas Sabonis ($7,800): Sabonis has been unstoppable against the Pistons this year, averaging 44.9 DraftKings points per game in the three games. If Detroit hasn’t stopped him yet, it seems unlikely that they do now. Sabonis is one of the safer plays tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Aaron Gordon ($6,900): Did someone wake the sleeping giant? Gordon has had a dreadful start to the season, but he has racked up 87 DraftKings points over the last two games for a team in dire need of inside production with Vucevic out. This isn’t a great matchup for Gordon, but it’s not bad either. If he keeps playing like he has, he could hit around 6x value here.
Nemanja Bjelica ($6,300): Bjelica just keeps racking up 30+ DraftKings points games. It’s going to be unsustainable once Bagley returns, but up until then, Bjelica is one of the safest and most consistent options available. If you are building a balanced lineup, Bjelica should be a staple.
Eric Paschall ($6,200): Paschall is getting good run for a bad team. That can be DFS gold. Ask anyone who played Suns down the stretch last year. There are gold mines on the Warriors right now. There are also massive pitfalls. Paschall is the most consistent of this band of merry misfits. He put up 38.75 DraftKings points against the Bulls the first time around. That’s doable again tonight.
Dark Horses:
Rui Hachimura ($5,700): Washington is running out of players to use up front, so they have to run Bertans and Hachimura whether they want to or not. Hachimura was more effective against Philly last night, so I’ll roll with him again tonight. Miami is tough across the board though, and Hachimura isn’t a great value at this point anymore, so I can understand a full fade of this. I will likely have a little exposure though.
Paul Millsap ($5,400): It’s hard to gauge just how much run Millsap will get. Despite his consistent performance over the course of the season, the Nuggets had dropped his minutes precipitously until he played 30 against the Lakers on Tuesday. He only played 22 against the Knicks last night, but still easily hit value. Millsap put up 34 on Boston the first time around, and they still wont be able to stop him. It just depends on how much run he gets.
