Playoff positioning is on the line in four big matchups that NFL fans simply have to watch in Week 15.
We’re headed down the stretch in the NFL, and the games are getting more and more important as the weeks progress. That is definitely the case in Week 15, which features four marquee matchups loaded with postseason implications.
Each rates as must-see in our book, so let’s get started with a look at the latest edition of the NFL’s oldest rivalry.
Chicago Bears (7-6) at Green Bay Packers (10-3)
The Bears have heated up of late, winning their last three games to keep their postseason hopes alive as they head to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. This game presents the opportunity for Green Bay to essentially end the Bears’ playoff dreams, and they will relish that chance.
Houston Texans (8-5) at Tennessee Titans (8-5)
This is the first of two matchups in three weeks for the AFC South co-leaders, with the rematch coming in Houston in Week 17. Whoever picks up a win here has a huge leg up in the divisional race, with the loser potentially being relegated to a suddenly more competitive wild card picture led by Pittsburgh and Buffalo.
Los Angeles Rams (8-5) at Dallas Cowboys (6-7)
Like the Bears, the Rams are trying to make a late postseason push and will need to keep winning to keep their hopes alive. This game is also massively important for the free-falling Cowboys, who have lost four of their last five games and have seen head coach Jason Garrett’s job status come under fire.
Buffalo Bills (9-4) at Pittsburgh Steelers (8-5)
This showdown between the AFC’s Wild Card leaders was flexed into Sunday Night Football, and it presents a big opportunity for both teams. Buffalo can keep the pressure on New England in the AFC East with a victory while the Steelers will look to move one step closer to an improbable playoff berth despite missing their three best offensive players for large stretches of the season.
