DraftKings NBA Small Forwards:

Best Bets:

Jimmy Butler ($9,100): Butler was cold from the floor against Chicago. The thing to take away from this game is that all of Miami’s key pieces played more than 40 minutes. That just doesn’t happen! The Heat are a little thin right now, and I expect Nunn, Butler, and Bam to all see significant run tonight against a Hawks team that is not a good defensive unit. If this game stays closer, Butler is going to have a big game, especially if the shots drop.

Ben Simmons ($7,900): Simmons has five straight games of at least 42 DraftKings points. Yes, he leaves a lot of points out there on the court with the shots he doesn’t take, but you can’t fault his efficiency or how well rounded the stat lines are. I would even use him against a solid Denver defense because Simmons isn’t dependent on scoring for a good DFS night.

Honorable Mention:

Will Barton ($5,500): Despite Murray going nuts on the Sixers in the first meeting, Barton still put up a strong line himself with 36.25 DraftKings points. The problem is that Barton hasn’t played more than 30 minutes in a week now. Denver is running deeper rotations, so Barton doesn’t have the upside that he did. He’s still a good bargain at this price.

Marcus Morris ($5,300): It looks as though Morris will be a good piece of the Knicks going forward. Portland is the worst team we have seen against forwards this year, and quite possibly in many years. Injuries have something to do with this, but they weren’t strong up front even with Collins, Nurkic, Melo, Vonleh, etc. over the last few years. Morris could be in line for one of his better games of the season here.

Dark Horses:

Troy Brown ($5,000): With Miles and McRae both out, it has opened up more minutes for Brown. Like Herro, he has done a much better job with extended run. Brown picked up 39.25 DraftKings points on a good Clippers team over the weekend. Charlotte isn’t going to provide a whole lot of resistance here. If Brown starts, he’ll be worth the price in spite of the big jump from Sunday.

Duncan Robinson ($4,500): Herro’s hot streak has planted Robinson in a bench role, but he still gets enough shots when he’s in there to make him a solid DFS play. If Robinson gets hot, the Heat aren’t going to take him out. Butler, Herro, and Robinson are all versatile enough to man the wing spots. The Heat have flexibility, and if Robinson regains his stroke, I think we’ll see his minutes climb back up to around 30. That would make him a steal with his price this low.
