Wondering if Jedi Master Luke Skywalker will be in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker? Don’t worry, you have come to the right place!
The Rise of Skywalker will mark the end of an era as it will be the final chapter in the Skywalker saga that started back in 1977 with Star Wars: A New Hope. This epic conclusion has fans everywhere speculating on which characters will make it into the final cut.
Considering that The Rise of Skywalker will be wrapping up the Skywalker narrative, some fans were understandably disappointed by Luke’s fate in The Last Jedi. The Jedi warrior died at the end of the film leaving many to believe that was the final time we would see the character on the big screen.
Even though he is no longer among the living, it’s not hard to imagine him returning in a flashback or even as a Force Ghost, which is customary practice for fallen Jedi Knights.
And the news that Palpatine is returning only increases the desire for audiences to get a little bit more Luke in the next film, as those two have some unfinished business from their last encounter that needs resolving. So the big question is, will the Jedi Master make one final appearance before it is all said and done?
For those who knew Luke Skywalker would be in The Rise of Skywalker, the Force is strong with you because that is what is happening. It has been confirmed that Mark Hamill will be in The Rise of Skywalker, but what his actual role entails is still somewhat of a mystery. All we have to go on is the movies’ first look photos, which feature an image of Luke next to R2-D2 in front of a raging fire with the appropriate caption “From The Ashes.”
However it goes down, it will be interesting to see how Luke makes it into the film and what other memorable characters may or may not show up in Episode 9. One thing for sure is that Star Wars fans will not want to miss The Rise of Skywalker when it releases on Dec. 20.
