2. Rams +3.5

Don’t look now, but the Los Angeles Rams are back. The Rams have won three of their last four games and delivered their best performance of the season on Sunday night, blowing out the Seattle Seahawks at the Los Angeles Coliseum while holding Russell Wilson without a touchdown.

The key to the Rams’ resurgence has been an increased reliance on the running game, with Todd Gurley showcasing more of his old form of late. Gurley has received at least 19 carries in each of the Rams’ last three wins, running for 271 yards and three touchdowns in the process.

The emphasis on the run has allowed Jared Goff, who looked shaky in the middle of the year, to work more off of play action and find open receivers down the middle of the field. Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp have re-emerged in the offense, and the Rams will need to continue building this formula to try and make a run at the playoffs.

The Rams hit the road this week, where they find themselves as 3.5 point underdogs to the Dallas Cowboys, which makes no sense given how the teams are playing. Dallas is in complete free-fall, losing four of its past five games, with the one win coming against a Detroit Lions’ team that was without Matthew Stafford.

The fact that the Rams are underdogs is one thing, but the fact that they’re getting the extra half point is massive, since even a Dallas win by a field goal covers the number for the Rams. Take the points here because this game will be close and there is a great shot the Rams win outright.
