DraftKings NBA Power Forwards:

Best Bets:

Jayson Tatum ($7,100): Tatum was a dud against Indianapolis last night with the good interior defense of the Pacers. Part of me thinks him going up against Horford tonight will net the same thing, but Tatum went up against him once this year and dumped 42 DraftKings points on him. The main reason Tatum was a dud is because he was cold from the floor. If he hits around half his shots, he’ll be back in the 40’s again.

LaMarcus Aldridge ($7,000): LMA and the Spurs haven’t played since Friday and the Cavs got run ragged by the Rockets last night. This game likely becomes a blowout. If it does, LMA and DDR will be at the very center of it. I wouldn’t load up on Spurs, especially in the starting unit, but Aldridge and DeRozan look safe due to their reasonable pricing.

Honorable Mention:

Kevin Love ($6,200): We saw a night of max effort from Love last night in a tough loss to Houston. This would seem to be a time to rest Love though, so keep an eye out for that. If he plays, I do like Love at this price. San Antonio has had issues up front, especially on the glass. That’s Love’s specialty.

Al Horford ($5,900): Horford’s return to Boston should come with more fanfare, wouldn’t you say? He put up a solid 25 DraftKings points on the Celtics in Philly earlier this year. We would need significantly more than that, especially on a night like this. Horford could get it in his return to Beantown.

Carmelo Anthony ($5,800): it’s another storyline game for Melo heading back to Denver all these years later. He has gone cold from the floor lately, but the floor is still right around 24 DraftKings points. I can live with that for the upside. Denver may shut down C.J. again. If they do, it wont just be Dame’s stats getting a big boost. It should be Melo too.

Dark Horses:

Jerami Grant ($3,900): Grant could be a huge bargain if Paul Millsap is held out. Whoever plays up front for Denver, I want a piece. Portland can’t defend the frontcourt at all. I’d prefer that Grant were the bargain for obvious reasons. Millsap will do in a pinch though. Even if Millsap does manage to start, Grant has been putting up strong enough numbers of late that he’s still worth using for the price.

Michael Porter Jr. ($3,200): It’s never wise to play for a blowout, but in the event that Millsap is out, Porter should get some good run anyway. Denver has eased Porter into action after he missed his whole rookie season because of injury. He is part of the future for the Nuggets. If Millsap is held out, Porter could do some real damage in 20 minutes, but I wouldn’t trust this if Denver is at full strength.
