NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds December 12

Scrubs

Jakob Poeltl (vs CLE – $5,100 on DK; $5,100 on FD): Poeltl’s minutes are all over the place, so he’s in a similar boat as Murray. But he’s at a lesser salary so he’s not going to hurt you as much. The matchup is great as the Cavaliers are weak against the position. Even in limited minutes, Poeltl should be able to get you value and his ceiling is higher.

Dejounte Murray (vs CLE – $5,600 on DK; $6,100 on FD): Murray might be off his minutes restriction which would be great for his value. The matchup definitely helps on Thursday as the Cavaliers have very little to offer. The minutes restriction is the biggest concern but last game was a good sign and I’m going to trust Murray and his minutes, at least in this one.

Derrick Rose (vs DAL – $5,700 on DK; $6,000 on FD): Rose has been a consistent option for the Pistons and flashed a good ceiling. The Mavericks are a tough matchup but someone has to get numbers for the Pistons and Rose has proven to be a reliable option for them. If nothing else he will get you value.

Gary Harris (vs POR – $4,600 on DK; $4,500 on FD): With no Murray, Harris should take on a bigger role. He’s been all over the place this season but the circumstances will be beneficial for him if Murray doesn’t play. The matchup helps as I refuse to trust the Blazers against good teams. He’s at a great salary to help you grab some top players as well.
