DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Trae Young ($9,100): Russ is an easy fade for me tonight, but I’m still a little hung up on Young. He blasted the Pacers for 62.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting despite their good rating against point guards. The issue is that Young has been cold from the floor the last two games. He is so dependent on good shooting to carry him that most nights I will just let others deal with the headache. What he did to Indiana the first time has me reconsidering though.

Devonte Graham ($8,300): Graham has put up 78.5 DraftKings points in two games against the Bulls so far in just 66 minutes. However, both of those games took place in the first three weeks of the season. In the last ten games, Graham is averaging 48.4 DraftKings points per game with games against Miami, Detroit (twice), and Milwaukee in there. I expect Graham to do even more damage to the Bulls this time around.

Ben Simmons ($8,200): This comes off as kind of a dream matchup for Simmons, but I’m not so sure. If Philly is at full strength, there’s a good chance the Pelicans get blown off the court. The only way I really like Simmons is if Embiid sits. Considering Horford sat last night, it’s a distinct possibility.

Honorable Mention:

Kendrick Nunn ($6,700): Winslow, Dragic, and Waiters are out. Herro is questionable. That could mean another 40 minutes of court time for Nunn. Nunn ravaged Atlanta with that much time on Tuesday. The Lakers are a better team all around, but I can still see Nunn putting together a strong game for this price range.

Jeff Teague ($5,500): Matchup and ankle be damned, Teague turned in a massive 52 DraftKings points against Utah on Wednesday. That’s his second game of 50 or more DraftKings points in his last four. The other two games in that span didn’t even equal 50 combined. You never really know what you’re getting from Teague, but I’ll say his games of scoring more than 30 actual points are the outliers considering he averages 14 ppg on the season.

Alec Burks ($5,300): Hey, remember when the return of Russell was supposed to negatively impact Burks? He has racked up 72 DraftKings points over the last two games. Bowman is the one feeling the negative impact. He got 86’ed to the G-League. Burks is still out there putting up big numbers. Seeing what Teague just did to Utah has me feeling pretty good about Burks and Russell tonight.

Dark Horses:

Coby White ($4,600): White has been hellishly inconsistent this year but seeing as how guards are lighting up the Hornets like the tree in Rockefeller Plaza, I may take a chance on White tonight. When he’s on, White has shown that he can score with the best of them and the price is right to throw a dart here.

D.J. Augustin ($4,400): Fultz is generously listed as doubtful, so it’s time to run Augustin. Houston doesn’t defend the perimeter at all. Augustin’s main game is distributing, but in a fast-paced game with a lot of open shots, he’ll see more than his usual share of assists as well. Augustin could be a steal here if he can hold off Michael Carter-Williams. If MCW starts, use him instead.

De’Anthony Melton ($3,900): Ja is out, and Melton is dirt cheap. We saw how Melton shined with Morant out for a week earlier this month. This may be a one-night stand type of deal, but it’s a hell of a one night. Milwaukee isn’t particularly strong against guards without Brogdon.
