DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:

Best Bets:

James Harden ($12,600): Just when I think it’s safe to fade Harden, he nukes the entire slate with an 80-bomb. It will be a little harder to do that against Orlando, but with Fultz and Vucevic both doubtful, it will be easier than normal. We all know what the risk is if we decide to fade Harden. The floor is still 50 DraftKings points, which isn’t going to kill your lineup.

Jimmy Butler ($9,500): I don’t like the matchup since the Lakers have been better defenders all over the court than anticipated. Butler did struggle against the Lakers earlier this year. However, with the Heat thin in the backcourt all of the sudden, Butler could run 40 minutes in this game. If he does, he’ll hit 50 even against the Lakers strong defense.

Honorable Mention:

Donovan Mitchell ($8,100): Mitchell has put up 88 DraftKings points in the two meeting with the Warriors so far this year, but that was a drastically different Warriors team then. The only carry over is the fact that they still can’t defend off the ball. Mitchell is very reliant on scoring though, so the risk with him is the same as it always is. Add in the blowout potential, and I think we can do better for the price.

Zach LaVine ($8,000): The same shoulder issue that LaVine had on Wednesday still has him on the injury report. All he did on Wednesday was put up 49.5 DraftKings points, so hopefully the same issue is there! LaVine has 98.5 DraftKings points in just 64 minutes against Charlotte this year. We could be looking at another huge game for LaVine. I really like him in this spot for the price.

D’Angelo Russell ($7,700): D-Russ only played the Jazz in one of the two earlier meetings, but he lit them up for 50.5 DraftKings points. Russell put up 50.75 against a solid Knicks perimeter defense on Wednesday. He’s starting to find his stroke again. That will keep the Warriors more competitive and leaves Russell as a fantasy diamond in the landfill that is the Warriors right now.

Dark Horses:

RJ Barrett ($6,100): Barrett has tremendous upside and a fairly consistent role. However, even the new staff has shown a propensity to bench Barrett if he goes cold and doesn’t make good decisions. That’s always going to be a risk when running Barrett since the Knicks are very deep on the wing. On a massive slate like this, a decision like Barrett could be the difference between you cashing and finishing in the top 100. His upside is that big.

Ben McLemore ($4,700): I hate winning and winners, so McLemore is on my radar again. I’m still torqued about Tuesday, but the main takeaway from that disaster is that McLemore was the only bench piece to play more than 20 minutes. Russ and Harden hogged all the shots because they were making them. Yeah, there’s always a chance that happens again, but McLemore’s price saw a big drop. DraftKings is certainly making it tough to just ignore him.

Terrence Ross ($4,300): Meet Terrence. Terrence loves to shoot the basketball when he gets on the court regardless of whether it goes in or not. The Magic are still running Ross close to 30 minutes a game. He’s going to be able to shoot until he can’t lift his arms in this one. The sheer volume is a big perk for this price range. So is the absence of Fultz.
