Wolfsburg vs. Monchengladbach live stream: Watch Bundesliga online
By Adam Stocker
Wolfsburg face Borussia Monchengladbach at Volkswagen Arena on Sunday, Dec. 15. Here’s all the info you need to watch online.
The most surprising development in the Bundesliga this season has been the rise of Borussia Monchengladbach. The Foals are first in the Bundesliga, with 31 points in their first 14 games. On Sunday, Wolfsburg host Monchengladbach at Volkswagen Arena. The Wolves are ninth in the table with 20 points.
Wolfsburg got off to a great start to the season, going unbeaten over their first nine games but the wheels have fallen off. The Wolves have lost four of their last five games to drop down the table. Manager Oliver Glasner’s team has been the best defensive team in the Bundesliga, conceding only 14 goals. However, Wolfsburg’s inability to score goals has cost them. Wolves have only 15 goals this season, with Wout Weghorst leading the club with seven goals. If Wolfsburg can continue to play their suffocating style of defense and get a timely goal on Sunday, they could steal points from Gladbach.
Borussia Monchengladbach have won five of their last six games and spent the last seven weeks on top of the Bundesliga table. Despite spending half of the season in first place, the Bundesliga table is extremely close. Gladbach are only one point ahead of RB Leipzig and it would be a mistake to write off Bayern Munich who are in seventh place and seven points back. Manager Marco Rose’s team has scored the fourth-most goals and have allowed the second-fewest number of goals. Striker Marcus Thurman has been one of the best signings of the season. Thurman arrived from Guingamp, who were relegated from Ligue 1 last season for €9 million. The price tag has proved to be a bargain for Thurman who leads Monchengladbach with six goals and five assists this season.
