879. . ILB. Tigers . Justin Flowe. 2. player

  • High School: Upland (Upland, CA)
  • Composite Ranking: No. 5, No. 1 ILB

Justin Flowe will be among those announcing their commitment during early National Signing Day on Dec. 18. The inside linebacker seems to be headed in the direction of the Clemson Tigers and they have been strong at developing the position.

Flowe visited the Tigers in November and while he most recently visited USC, the belief is that he will ultimately announce that he is going to be yet another defensive sieve for Clemson.

He’s the top inside linebacker recruit in the country and one of the top overall recruits. He’s got the size and ability to do just about everything. He can stop the run, play in coverage and can also stretch the field sideline to sideline.

If anyone’s going to steal him from Clemson, it would be USC. However, given the state of uncertainty in the program as the Trojans continue to roll with Clay Helton and the machine that Clemson’s become, the pick here is easy.

Prediction: Clemson

879. . SDE. Tigers . Jordan Burch. 1. player

  • High School: Hammond School (Columbia, SC)
  • Composite Ranking: No. 3, No. 1 SDE

This is shaping up to be a special recruiting class for the Clemson Tigers and they can top it off by landing the top uncommitted recruit remaining.

Jordan Burch is the number-three overall recruit available and the top strong-side defensive end up for grabs. He’s already listed his top five and it includes the Clemson Tigers, who are also there with home-state school South Carolina.

The Tigers are the only non-SEC school he’s considering at the moment as well. Given their level of success developing defensive lineman, the Tigers continue to gain commits at the position and Burch would be joining a loaded class along the line.

At 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, there’s a very real chance that Burch is the next big thing in college football. He can do it all from rushing the passer to stopping the run. There is already plenty of hype surrounding him before he even announces where he intends to sign.

Clemson stands to have a very strong recruiting class and once again will be bringing plenty of talent on the defensive side of the ball for Brent Venables to mold. Don’t rule out South Carolina, but the experts also think the defending National Champs is the likely pick.
