Sunday Night Football presents the FanDuel/DFS community with a clash of AFC teams! Let’s take a look at this game from a fantasy football perspective.

Before I get into my FanDuel player selections let’s briefly discuss the rules for the FanDuel single game contest and look at the key DFS injuries for Sunday night’s game.

The rules for the FanDuel single game contest are rather simple. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your MVP. The MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard FanDuel points.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game contest I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Key DFS Injuries

Buffalo Bills: None.

Pittsburgh Steelers: OUT: Vance McDonald, TE, JuJu Smith-Schuster: QUESTIONABLE: James Conner, RB.

Now let’s transition to what I love doing the most! Here are my FanDuel player selections for Sunday Night Football!

MVP-Cole Beasley $12,500

Yes, I know what you are likely thinking. How can you go with Beasley as your MVP?

For starters, the Action Network is reporting that this football game has an over/under of 37 points. That is the lowest over/under I have seen for an NFL game all season.

Additionally, the Bills are having issues along the offensive line. How significant are the issues? Well, Josh Allen has been pressured in 37 percent of his drop backs. Allen is under far too much duress in the pocket.

Where am I going with Allen’s issues in the pocket as it relates to Beasley? It’s simple. Allen is going to need to get the ball out quickly. The Bills’ coaching staff is well aware of this fact. Allen will need to get the ball out in a timely fashion, and Beasley will be the very likely recipient of a large number of targets in this football game.

It also has to be said that although the Pittsburgh Steelers have an overall quality defensive unit, they have struggled all year versus slot receivers. If you need statistical evidence to support my previous statement I can certainly provide it.

Here are a few examples of how well slot receivers have have performed versus the Pittsburgh defense this year: Robert Woods had 13 FanDuel points in Week 10, Jarvis Landry had 12.3 FanDuel points in Week 13, and finally Christian Kirk had 12.9 FanDuel points in last week’s game versus Arizona.

Flex Plays

Josh Allen $15,500

I am stacking my MVP with his quarterback, Josh Allen. No, don’t expect a large number of points in this game. However, Allen will find some level of fantasy football success in this low scoring contest. Let’s not forget that Allen is a mobile quarterback that has the ability to accumulate a lot of rushing yards. It is also certainly possible that Allen finds a way to get a rushing touchdown in this game as well.

Devin Singeltary $13,000

Over the last few weeks, the Bills have been utilizing Singletary more in the passing game. Look for Singletary to benefit from that game plan. An example of how the Bills are utilizing Singletary more in the passing game can clearly be seen in last week’s game. In Week 14, Singletary was targeted by quarterback Josh Allen eight times.

Chris Boswell $9,500

With my next flex play, look at Pittsburgh kicker Chris Boswell. Although new Steelers starting quarterback Devlin Hodges has shown promise in the two games he has started, but he may struggle to some extent versus this outstanding Bills defense. Expect the Pittsburgh offense to stall multiple times in the red zone on Sunday, resulting in a high number of field goal opportunities for Boswell.

Diontae Johnson $8,500

Due to the fact that Pittsburgh has a number of significant injuries to wide receivers, I think Johnson will be targeted more often than usual on Sunday night. Additionally, I love that Hodges has targeted Johnson 13 times in the last two games.

As always, good luck!
