DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks December 17
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings EuroLeague Forwards:
Nikola Mirotic is basically the same price as Tornike Shengelia. Mirotic has the higher upside. Shengelia has the higher floor. Both of them have good matchups today. I prefer the upside of Mirotic, but you can’t really go wrong with either of them.
There is a lot of inconsistency just outside the top tier which makes me even more grateful for Derrick Williams. He turned in possibly the biggest dud ever with -1 DraftKings points against Barcelona back in round 9, but he has had at least 27 DraftKings points in every round since and in the three rounds before. The Barcelona match seems the outlier. Williams just keeps putting up good numbers.

Walter Tavares had a sluggish start to the year, but he has been much better lately. If he could put together points and rebounds in the same game, he would be dangerous. That said, he’s more expensive than Tonye Jekiri, who has much higher upside and a much better matchup. Tavares will hae to wait another week.
I just can’t seem to move off of Jock Landale. He wont really hurt you, but the upside doesn’t seem to be quite as high as it was. Still, if he’s around 20 DraftKings points for the price, he’s great for cash lineups.
Sertac Sanli has been great up front for Efes with Dunston out. This is a tougher matchup against Zalgiris, but Sanli is still cheap enough that he’s almost a lock for 3x value. We take that where we can get it in EuroLeague. Luigi Datome is also putting up about the same numbers over the last three round and he has a much better matchup. I would trust him over Lauvergne right now.
Villeurbanne has a habit of spreading it around. It works great for the team, but it’s tough for us DFS players. David Lighty is cheap enough to take a flier on, and his floor seems higher than the rest.
Youssoupha Fall is an elite defensive presence, but until he gets more involved in the offense, he’ll put up some duds. Not just 12-15 point duds, but actually in the single digits. The upside is nice, but the risk is massive.
If you play matchups, it doesn’t get any better for Gerogios Papagiannis and Jacob Wiley. Papagiannis has been getting most of the minutes lately, but if Papapetrou is out, Wiley could see good minutes as well.
