1. Los Angeles Chargers

It seems like Philip Rivers has two more games left as the Chargers’ quarterback, though he may decide to keep playing and could very well land somewhere else as a free agent come March. It’s also worth wondering if head coach Anthony Lynn will be the virtually annual surprise firing in the league as a disappointing season winds down.

The Chargers, as was easy to see coming, have struggled to find any footing with fans in Los Angeles. That stands to only get worse next year when they become tenants in the Rams’ fancy new stadium and fans of the visiting team fill it when the Chargers play, just as said fans have been doing in their current “home.”

If a full quarterback-head coach reset is in order for 2020, or even if Lynn remains in place, Rosen looks like a solid fit for the Chargers. As a UCLA product and Los Angeles area native, perhaps he would also inspire some fan interest. With the right coaching situation, and some interesting pieces around him even with some looming free agents, going back home could be the ideal situation for Rosen to get his career on track. Even if it means competing for the starting job next year, as it probably should regardless of where he lands, Rosen and the Chargers could become a happy, long-term marriage.
