8. Aaron Rodgers (LW: 8)

Rodgers should be playing better. He’s not making huge errors, but he’s missing obvious throws because he can’t stop dreaming about the deep bomb. At some point, Rodgers and the Packers will reach a point where he needs to take some smaller profits. Will he do it?

7. Kirk Cousins (LW: 7)

Cousins has a case as the most underrated player of the year. After struggling in his first season with the Vikings, Cousins was a Pro Bowl snub (he should have made it over Rodgers). If Minnesota makes a postseason run, Cousins will be at the center of it.

6. Matt Ryan (LW: 6)

Ryan remains one of the league’s best, despite being stuck on a team with a lame-duck coach and no offensive line. He engineered an impressive fourth-quarter comeback on Sunday over the 49ers, and has a good chance at 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns on the year.

5. Deshaun Watson (LW: 5)

Watson threw two interceptions in the end zone, but he made myriad big plays to take down the Titans. He’s one of the few quarterbacks who is incredibly dangerous with both his arm and legs, and with Houston needing only one more win to clinch the AFC South, Watson could take center stage in a few weeks.
