The Green Bay Packers have a shot to take over the No. 1 spot in the NFCĀ the rest of the way, which would be bad news for the rest of the NFC. Having to go into Lambeau Field in January is not something anybody is going to want to do, especially if Aaron Rodgers and this offense can get it going.
Despite the new head coach, Rodgersā numbers are similar to last season, though at least he seems to be getting along with Matt LaFleur. However, this is an offense that needs more weapons, especially in the passing game, and they could get a good playmaker to team with Davante Adams next April.
Jalen Reagor would be a perfect compliment to Adams, as he likes to go deep, and is also not afraid to go over the middle. Rodgers has some prime years left in him, and you have to think he would like to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at least one more time before all is said and done. Reagor can help him get there.
The San Francisco 49ers suffered a terrible loss at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, losing at the last second on a Matt Ryan to Julio Jones touchdown pass. While the loss was shocking, the 49ers are still cemented in the playoffs for the NFC, and they have the talent to make a run this season.
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is a big-time winner at the NFL level, and he has this offense pointed in the right direction. On the defensive side of the ball, San Francisco could use some reinforcements, especially in the secondary, where veteran cornerback Richard Sherman will eventually have to be replaced.
Trevon Diggs from Alabama is one of the better cornerbacks in this draft class, and would be an excellent addition to this 49ers secondary. He could learn from Sherman early on, has an NFL pedigree, being the brother of Stefon Diggs, and when all is said and done, could be an absolute steal this late in round one.
