Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay a way from on December 19 in NBA Daily Fantasy Sports on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s daily fantasy NBA lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

7:30 p.m. ET: Utah at Atlanta
8 p.m. ET: LA Lakers at Milwaukee
8:30 p.m. ET: Brooklyn at San Antonio
10:30 p.m. ET: Houston as LA Clippers

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Clint Capela (at LAC – $7,600 on DK; $9,100 on FD): The Clippers are not good against the position. Capela has played well in recent games, and he’s had two strong games against the Clippers this season. Overall, things are lining up nicely for Capela on Thursday. He should stand out once again.

Spencer Dinwiddie (at SA – $7,900 on DK; $8,000 on FD): Dinwiddie continues to lead the charge for the Nets and the Spurs still can’t figure things out and may never figure things out. Dinwiddie has proven himself as a high ceiling guy who provides plenty of consistency. He’s in a similar position as Mitchell where he’s lower than top guys but has a much better matchup.

Donovan Mitchell (at ATL – $8,000 on DK; $8,600 on FD): Mitchell is easy money on Thursday. He’s lower than some of the top guys and no Conley means he should have even more opportunities. There’s plenty of reasons to stack Utah players and the best reason is that they are up against the Hawks. Mitchell should be in for a monster night.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs LAL – $11,300 on DK; $11,200 on FD): It’s stacked up top on Thursday. All the big stars are probably going to have big games because that’s what they do. I’m going with Giannis as the top scorer because he’s the guy who doesn’t have a top co-star (sorry Middleton). Expect another big night out of Giannis.
