DraftKings NBA Small Forwards:

Best Bets:

Jimmy Butler ($9,000): It’s tough to rely on anyone for the Heat since they spread the ball around so well. However, they ran an eight man rotation on Wednesday and could be that short-handed again. That kind of usage on Butler is worth paying attention to. Nunn is solid, but the Knicks actually defend the point well. They are awful on the wing. This should be Butler’s time to shine.

Brandon Ingram ($8,700): Ingram put up a staggering 56 DraftKings points on the Timberwolves without KAT. He put up 57 on the Warriors the first time around because they don’t have anyone in the middle that can handle him either. Ingram could dominate once again, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he were the highest scorer on the entire slate.

Honorable Mention:

Tobias Harris ($7,100): Dallas is weak against forwards and Harris usually keeps pretty solid production across the board. Don’t make too much of the Heat holding him under value. It was more a product of Harris not having room to make passes. He still scored 20 points. I expect Harris back over 5x value against the Mavs.

Will Barton ($6,500): Barton was under 30 DraftKings points for the first time in two weeks on Wednesday, but the minutes and shots were still there. He didn’t miss it by much, but he doesn’t hit value anymore either. Barton put up 41.5 DraftKings points on Minnesota in the first meeting. The Timberwolves still don’t defend well, and Barton is the most consistent scorer that the Nuggets have. He’s an attractive option tonight.

Jonathan Isaac ($6,500): Isaac has been terrible over the last week or so, but Portland’s defense is so soft against forwards that this may be the chance to take advantage of a lower price. The inconsistency of Isaac and Gordon pisses off every DFS player, but I’ll run both of them at least once against Portland. The upside is immense no matter how big of turds they’ve been lately.

Dark Horses:

OG Anunoby ($5,600): OG dominated once Powell went down on Tuesday. He ended up with 35.5 DraftKings points and should be in for an expanded offensive role once again. This is a superb matchup agianst the Wizards. OG is one of my favorite plays on the slate for the price. He will be in all of my lineups if VanVleet is out. If FVV returns, I’ll likely still roll him once just in case.

Troy Brown ($5,200): Brown is one of my cash game favorites because he has been so consistent with McRae out. Brown has at least 23 DraftKings points in six of the seven games without McRae. The price is getting to the point where we need the best Brown has to offer, but he is almost always at 24-28 DraftKings points. That’s invaluable in cash games.

Derrick Jones ($4,700): The injuries are behind Jones, and he has been great as a big part of the Heat’s rotation. Jones has at least 23 DraftKings points in five straight and has played at least 28 minutes. So long as the minutes are there, ride the horse until he falls over.
