Everton vs. Arsenal live stream: Watch Premier League online
By Adam Stocker
Everton face Arsenal at Goodison Park on Saturday, Dec. 21. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Everton and Arsenal both got off to terrible starts to the season that cost both of their managers their jobs. The Toffees hired Carlo Ancelotti after he was fired by Napoli. The Italian manager will be tasked with lifting Everton from 16th in the table into the top half. Mikel Arteta was hired by the Gunners after Arsenal slipped to 10th. The two new managers will look to get their tenures in charge of their new clubs off to a winning start on Saturday.
Everton have been one of the most disappointing teams in any of Europe’s top five leagues. The Toffees are only three points above the relegation zone and have picked up only four points in their last five games. If Ancelotti is going to turn around Everton’s season, the Italian manager will have to improve the club’s defense. The Toffees have allowed 29 goals, the fifth-most in the Premier League. If Ancelotti can solve Everton’s defensive problems, there is still time for the club to move up the table and compete for a spot in the Europa League.
Arsenal have won only one of their last nine games, costing Unai Emery his job. The Gunners are only slightly better than Everton defensively, allowing 27 goals. Arsenal have received poor play from their center-backs. No matter what combination the Gunners have used, the results have not been there. In the attacking third, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is having another great season. The Gabonese striker leads the club with 11 goals this season.
