DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Kemba was awful against his former team the first time around. Devonte Graham was better, but not enough better to justify his price in this range. This is especially true when you consider his cold streak this week. Even if I have the money, I don’t think I’ll use either of them.

Chris Paul put up 41.5 DraftKings points on his former team the first time around. I would expect him to be in about the same range tonight. CP3 is the only top tier guy that I would really consider paying for on this slate.

Honorable Mention:

I’m nervous about using Malcolm Brogdon here, but this is a very good matchup with Bledsoe out. Brogdon has only hit value twice in the last six games. However, if Sabonis is sidelined, I’m heavily back on Brogdon. To the point where I would fade the entire top tier for him.

Jamal Murray put up 41.5 DraftKings points on the Lakers the first time around. The issue is that we really never know which Denver guard is going to go off. Murry is also riding a high with over 40 DraftKings points in each of the last two games. Murray did well even with LeBron on the floor the first time. This looks even better.

I wouldn’t even toy with the idea of fading Dennis Schroder right now. Schroder has at least 25 DraftKings points in 12 straight, and nine of those are over 30. A few are over 40 DraftKings points! There are several good options out there, but Schroder is rolling right now. I don’t want to take the chance with Schroder putting up another monster and me not having him.

Dark Horse:

DiVincenzo is a solid value pick even at this price. He doesn’t get as much run as some of the other guards in the pool, but you know exactly what you are getting from DiVincenzo. He’s going to get you between 24 and 32 DraftKings points at a reasonable price. You can fit that in just about any lineup.

I’ve been using George Hill a lot recently, but T.J. McConnell does even more despite the small number of minutes. McConnell has 85.25 DraftKings points in just 64 minutes. There isn’t a ton of upside here, but if T.J. is grabbing you close to 7x value, are you really going to complain?
