Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on December 22 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:
6 p.m. ET: Charlotte at Boston
7 p.m. ET: Indiana at Milwaukee, LA Clippers at Oklahoma City
9:30 p.m. ET: Denver at LA Lakers

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (vs LAC – $7,000 on DK; $6,900 on FD): The Thunder guards seem to take turns when it comes to who is going to have the big outing. It was SGA in the last game and with OKC remaining at home, I think he keeps it up in this game. No Kawhi would help as it’s one less outstanding defender he was to worry about. But with or without Kawhi, look for SGA to have his scoring going in this one as he’s playing with a lot of confidence in this one.

Paul George (at OKC – $8,500 on DK; $9,000 on FD): Expect a big outing from George. It’s his return to OKC and even though he helped OKC in the trade and he’s the one who wanted to leave, he’s still going to be out for some sort of blood. Especially when he’s greeted by the boos from Thunder fans. He might not miss in this game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs IND – $11,000 on DK; $11,200 on FD): You can always count on Giannis to deliver a big outing because that’s what Giannis does. This is a tough matchup but that’s also when Giannis thrives. It’s a back to back, but he got plenty of rest against the Knicks on Saturday. He’s guaranteed value, even at the price and the potential for a big outing is always there.

Kemba Walker (vs CHA – $8,200 on DK; $7,900 on FD): Kemba wasn’t great against Charlotte earlier this season and he’s been a bit inconsistent for the majority of the year. But the ceiling is obviously there. You can look towards Tatum as he’s more reliable and has the better matchup when it comes to position. But I think Kemba makes up for his dud against the Hornets earlier in the year with a big outing in this game.
