Sunday Night Football presents the DFS/FanDuel community with a game that should be a high scoring contest! Let’s take a look at this game from a fantasy football perspective!

Before I dive into my FanDuel player selections let’s briefly review the rules for the FanDuel single game contest and look at the key DFS injuries for Sunday night’s game.

The rules for the FanDuel single game contest are not that difficult to understand. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your lineup’s MVP. Additionally, the MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard FanDuel points.

The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is imperative for you to select the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to take down a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the single game contest I recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Key DFS Injuries

Kansas City Chiefs: None.

Chicago Bears: OUT: Taylor Gabriel, WR.

Here are my FanDuel player selections for Sunday Night Football:

MVP-Travis Kelce $13,500

Why does Kelce deserves the MVP slot? Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes targets Kelce at a very high rate. A good illustration of how often Kelce is targeted by Mahomes can be seen in the Chiefs last five games. In that span, Mahomes has targeted Kelce 48 times. Additionally, in that same stretch, Kelce has averaged 16.28 FanDuel points per game.

Now let’s take a look at how well the Bears defend the tight end position. The Bears are currently the 26th-ranked defense in the league defending tight ends. Keep in mind that the NFL is a 32-team league.

I love Kelce’s chances to put up some outstanding fantasy numbers on Sunday!

Flex Plays

Patrick Mahomes $16,000

I am stacking my MVP with his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. I think it’s well known to the majority of football fans and readers of this article how awesome Mahomes has been from a fantasy perspective this season. However, if you need some statistical data to support my decision to play him this week I can certainly provide it. In the Chiefs last five games, Patrick Mahomes has averaged 20.83 FanDuel points a game.

Anthony Miller $12,000

Bears wide receiver Taylor Gabriel has been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Well, Gabriel has been out of the Chicago lineup for several weeks now due to injury. Miller has clearly benefited from Gabriel’s absence. Additionally, it is clear Trubisky has trust in Miller.

Last week’s game against the Green Bay Packers serves as a good example regarding Trubisky’s trust in Miller. In the loss, Trubisky targeted Miller 15 times! Miller finished last week’s game with nine receptions, 118 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Tarik Cohen $9,000

The Bears will be playing from behind in the majority of Sunday’s game. Having stated that, Cohen should be targeted by Mitchell Trubisky often. Trubisky targeted Cohen 10 times in Week 15.

Harrison Butker $9,500

The Chiefs offense will score plenty of points in Sunday’s contest. Kansas City’s kicker will benefit from the Chiefs offensive success by getting plenty of field goal opportunities in this game.

As always, good luck!
