Christmas store hours 2019: Is Subway open?
If you’re hoping to pick up a footlong meatball sandwich, then here is what you need to know about Christmas Day hours at Subway.
Subway restaurants are a popular destination for people because no matter what you do or don’t eat, it is safe to say that there is an option for everyone there. However, when it comes to picking up a sandwich on Christmas Day, Subway will be closed for business.
Subway joins fast food restaurants like Chipotle, Chik-Fil-A and Taco Bell in being closed on Christmas Day, allowing employees a chance to spend time with family and friends. If you’re looking for places that are open, you’ll find that McDonald’s, Denny’s and IHOP will be open for business on the holiday.
The exception to this rule is for Subway locations found inside transit centers like train stations and airports, restaurants inside hotels (as in Las Vegas) and even those located near theme parks and other busy tourist centers. Though company policy is to be closed, some franchises remain open for tourists who are away from home and need a place to eat.
Subway is a popular destination because of the large variety of food available, and it’s something that many parents find helpful because they can easily accommodate picky eaters. (Like the kid who wants a six-inch sandwich with cheese and pickles) It’s also a great option for eating on the go, as you can order food and take it with you to eat on the road.
Subway will return to normal business hours on December 26, with many locations open as early as 6am. Be sure to check the hours of operation at your nearest location ahead of New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, because it’s possible that they will have modified store hours on those days.
