DraftKings college football wide receiver picks December 26:

Top Tier:

I’m huge fans of both Maurice Ffrench and Taysir Mack. I’m not a fan of the inconsistent guy throwing them the ball. Ffrench is the safer option since he gets a lot of targets on short routes. With PPR on DraftKings, it’s free points using a guy like Ffrench.

If Louisiana Tech is going to win this game, Adrian Hardy is going to have to have a big game. He might be the most talented receiver on either side of the ball in this one. Hardy had a solid warm up against UTSA in the finale, but this is where his draft stock will soar. I see a big game coming from Hardy. Griffin Hebert was the man against UTSA, but it feels like Hardy takes back over here. Hebert isn’t a bad play either.

Middle Tier:

Arthur Jackson saved his best game of the end against Kent State. He topped 100 receiving yards for the only time all season in that game. I have a feeling that the Eagles will have to throw to win, so expect a heavy day for Jackson and Quian Williams. Williams has been the leading receiver overall since Glass took the starting job.

Miami’s receivers have been limited by ineffective QB plays and injuries. Brevin Jordan is the best of the group if he is healthy. K.J. Osborn had plenty of chances to step up and seize a job, but he never could. This is a good matchup on paper, but the open QB competition worries me.

Bargain Shoppers:

There are a lot of iffy propositions this low in the WR rankings, but Smoke Harris stands out as a nice one. Harris hasn’t been under 8 DraftKings points since week 7 against UMass. That’s a nice floor for someone as cheap as Harris.

Line Latu had 158 receiving yards over the last two games of the season. Arthur Jackson still gets most of the attention, but Latu can give you production at a very low price.

Will Mallory was the best Miami receiver down the stretch. It may have been because of the injuries to everyone else. It may have even been due to the Canes finally settling on a QB. That all could be over now, but I would expect that Mallory made a good enough impression on the coaching staff to get a healthy number of snaps in the bowl game.
