4. Russell Wilson (LW: 4)

Wilson and the Seahawks struggled on Sunday and ultimately took themselves out of landing home-field advantage. Seattle is still a contender, but the loss could be crushing. Wilson has been great this year, but any talk of him as the MVP is folly.

3. Drew Brees (LW: 3)

Brees and the Saints are really hitting their offensive stride. Against the Titans, Brees continued to find both Michael Thomas and the end zone, racking up 38 points. Nobody in the NFC wants to deal with New Orleans.

2. Lamar Jackson (LW: 2)

Jackson is the undisputed MVP. He’s led the Ravens to a 13-2 record and has combined for more than 40 touchdowns against only six interceptions. He’s having one of the greatest all-around seasons in NFL history.

1. Patrick Mahomes (LW: 1)

Mahomes won’t win MVP as he did in 2018, but he remains the league’s best. If each GM took truth serum, Mahomes would be the first player chosen to lead each man’s franchise over the next decade. Despite missing almost three full games, he’ll eclipse 4,000 passing yards and could wind up with 30 touchdowns (he needs five against the Chargers). Incredible.
