1. Sheffield United win at Manchester City

The final fixture of the Premier League weekend sees Manchester City host Sheffield United in what should be an entertaining match. Sheffield United have been inspirational on their return to the top flight and barring a catastrophic meltdown in the second half of the season, they should remain the Premier League.

Manchester City are almost certainly not going to retain their Premier League crown with Liverpool so far in front of them. Pep Guardiola will want to ensure that this side keep performing though in case of any slip up from the Merseyside club.

This weekend, City face off against a team that haven’t lost away from home all season. This is a truly remarkable stat, particularly for a newly-promoted club. In nine away matches, Sheffield United have won three and drawn six – a record which has brought them more than half their points this season.

If Chris Wilder’s side want to keep that record alive this weekend then they’re going to have to produce their best performance of the season. Manchester City may be lagging behind Liverpool in the league but they’ve hit a good run of form of late  and are almost playing with more freedom knowing that the Reds should win the title.

Guardiola’s side have scored 25 goals in nine home games this season and Sheffield United have only conceded seven goals in their nine away matches. That suggests we could be in for a bit of a battle this weekend with two sides that have a knack for getting results.

Manchester City will undoubtedly dominate possession but they may struggle to breakdown United. The Blades will stay strong at the back but are also very capable of producing when going forward.

The import thing for Chris Wilder’s side is to take their chance when it comes. This weekend they will do that as Oli McBurnie nets the only goal in a shock 1-0 win for Sheffield United.
