DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Trae Young ($10,800): Young has always been streaky. He’s back on a hot streak now, putting up at least 50 DraftKings points in five straight games. Three of those have cleared 60! Young has 91.5 DraftKings points in two games against Milwaukee so far this year, but Bledsoe was present in both. He’s not here. Even with Collins’ big game on Monday, Trae was able to put up huge numbers again. He looks worth the price.

Devonte Graham ($7,500): Graham had a run of tougher games, but those were against teams that defend the point well. This isn’t the Thunder’s strong point. The concerning thing is that Graham hasn’t shot better than 36% from the floor since December 11. That’s an extended cold streak, and he doesn’t always do enough in other areas or get to the line enough to give him a stable floor.

Dennis Schroder ($6,600): Schroder was under 30 DraftKings points (albeit just barely) for just the third time in the last five weeks last night. Tonight presents another tougher matchup for Schroder, but on a short slate with him having a high floor, I can see paying this price. Schroder is marginally safer than CP3 or SGA based on price alone.

Honorable Mention:

Aaron Holiday ($5,400): Holiday is only for use if Brogdon misses another game. Holiday put up 42.25 DraftKings points on the Raptors on Monday, so the matchup with the Heat doesn’t scare me with Holiday this cheap. He can put up big numbers so long as he gets the minutes. If Brogdon is back in any capacity though, I want nothing to do with either of them.

Goran Dragic ($5,300): Nunn has been overshadowed by Dragic off the bench. The rookie still performs reasonably well, but Dragic is putting up the better numbers and is playing about the same minutes. This rotation limits the upside of both, but I would say that Dragic is by far the most consistent of the two. Bargains are few and far between, so Dragic looks solid here.

Markelle Fultz ($5,000): Fultz has been reasonably good lately, and he gets a revenge game against Philly. Fultz put up 19.5 DraftKings points in only 21 bench minutes against his former team the first time around. Now that Fultz is starting, he could flirt with 6x value here. Fultz isn’t a good enough all-around player to have a really high ceiling, but he is plenty good enough to be a consistent value play, even if the upside is limited by the Magic’s depth at guard.

Dark Horses:

George Hill ($4,200): The Milwaukee guards that start in place of Bledsoe have been inconsistent and enigmatic. Hill has been a very solid piece off the bench filling in. I don’t see the Bucks starting him anytime soon, but if Hill is constantly hitting between 20-25 DraftKings points per game off the bench, I wont complain. His price wont go up if he’s not starting.

Ky Bowman ($3,100): In the two games since being summoned back to the NBA team, Bowman has 31.25 DraftKings points in 45 minutes. The production is good for the price, but what stands out to me is the minutes. It’s hard to get excited about what anyone does to the Rockets, but it’s reasonable to expect Bowman to hit 5x value in any game. He has zero upside, but is a solid cash punt if you need one.
