Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on December 29 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

8 p.m. ET: Sacramento at Denver, Charlotte at Memphis, Houston at New Orleans
9:30 p.m. ET: Dallas at LA Lakers

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Luka Doncic (at LAL – $11,400 on DK; $10,600 on FD): The last time Luka played the Lakers he put on an absolute show. The Lakers are better than their recent slump but Luka has also been on a different level this season and has picked up where he left off prior to his injury. He’s pegged to be the top scorer on the night and I suspect that’s where he ends up.

Brandon Ingram (vs HOU – $8,100 on DK; $9,000 on FD): The Pelicans are playing much better basketball as of late and Ingram has been a consistent option all season. It’s a back to back for both teams but the Rockets will likely be the more tired of the two teams since they have a shorter rotation and play their top guys more minutes. Ingram will get his scoring numbers and then some in this one.

Devonte’ Graham (at MEM – $7,900 on DK; $7,600 on FD): Graham has played great in the last two games and he’s been consistent for the majority of the season. It’s a back to back for the Grizzlies, who aren’t a great team as it is. Graham is a guy who can get buckets and dish out plenty of assists. Expect him to do just that in this game as he carves up the Memphis defense.

Jamal Murray (vs SAC – $6,800 on DK; $6,800 on FD): Murray is as inconsistent as they come but this is a great matchup and he has a high ceiling. More than anything, he feels due for a big game. We know the shots are going to be there for him, it’s just a matter of the ball going in for him. This is a matchup where he can get some easy buckets early and go from there. He’s a risk based on his usual output, but I have a gut feeling about him in this one.
