DraftKings college football wide receiver picks December 30:

Top Tier:

Chatarius Atwell has double digit DraftKings points against everyone but Clemson and Notre Dame. Atwell had five games of more than 25 DraftKings points and three more over 20. I don’t see Atwell clearing 40 here. 30 could be a challenge, but if I get 20, I’ll be pretty happy.

Despite the big numbers of Atwell, I think I like Hasise Dubois at least as much. Dubois gets a ton of targets, especially when Virginia is trying to catch up. One of the best games of the season for Dubois was against Clemson. Vegas thinks Florida is a heavy favorite, so I think Virginia throws a lot here as well. However, if Joe Reed is able to return, it could throw a wrench in here.

Middle Tier:

I do like USC transfer Josh Imatorbhebhe, but the inconsistency at quarterback makes him tough to play for me. He has as much talent as anyone on the slate, but the quarterbacks haven’t been able to find him with any consistency.

The Florida receiving corps has been a crapshoot all year. Kyle Pitts is the most consistent. Van Jefferson is the guy that they look for in the red zone. However, none have big numbers even though Trask does. He throws too much to the running backs to rely heavily on any Florida wideouts besides Pitts.

If Joe Reed is held out, Terrell Jana is definitely in play. He might be anyway, but Jana has 52 of his 66 receptions in the last six games. Jana has the best floor of the middle tier with defense upside.

Bargain Shoppers:

Nikko Remigio caught 14 passes over the last two games with Garbers back. The 215 yards and a touchdown are just gravy. Remigio is cheap enough to use just for the receptions alone.

If you are looking for another dart, Notre Dame used Braden Lenzy in a few trick plays out of the backfield in the last three games. He turned in three straight games of double digit DraftKings points pulling double duty late in teh year. However, Lenzy doesn’t see a lot of targets, so this is kind of an all or nothing thing.

If you really are in a financial pinch, Deddrick Thomas could be worth a look. His targets vary from week to week, especially with Osiris Mitchell around. Still, Thomas has at least one catch in every game and at least two in all but one of them. He’ll get you something. How much something can be an entirely different story.
