No. 2: 2019 LSU vs. Alabama

LSU’s Trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama ended favorably for the Tigers as they took down the Crimson Tide and moved to the top of the food chain in the SEC. Simultaneously, the Tigers became the team to beat for the College Football Playoffs and the national title picture.

And this all happened while being led by a coach who couldn’t win during his time at Ole Miss and a quarterback who couldn’t find his way onto the field for Ohio State.

Ed Orgeron’s redemption tour (or his revenge tour, if you will) became complete as his LSU Tigers beat out Alabama in a captivating, high scoring affair. The win gave a coach who by all accounts failed during his time in Oxford and then became an assistant for various other schools the biggest win of his career.

It also practically cemented the fact that Joe Burrow would go on to win the Heisman at the end of the year. The quarterback who was unable to be more than a backup for the Buckeyes torched Alabama’s vaunted defense and outdueling Tua Tagovailoa in the process.

LSU is now set to contend for a national championship and, in what was one of Alabama’s few losses over the past decade, the Tigers looked flat-out like the best team in the country.
