DraftKings NBA picks January 1: Blazers can’t handle Randle

There may only be four games for our first DraftKings NBA slate of 2020, but there are some interesting ones on here. There’s a lot of stars with Giannis, KAT, LeBron, and A.D. all (allegedly) in action. We also have the value known as the Washington Wizards in another episode of As The Beal Turns. This is going to be interesting. First, let’s see if any stars are sitting.

Out: Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), Andrew Wiggins (illness), Jusuf Nurkic (leg), Davis Bertans (quad), Thomas Bryant (foot), Jeff Teague (knee), Rui Hachimura (groin), Mo Wagner (ankle), Zach Collins (shoulder), Jake Layman (toe), Skal Labissiere (knee), Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder), Rodney Hood (Achilles), C.J. Miles (wrist), John Wall (Achilles), Al-Farouq Aminu (knee), DeMarcus Cousins (knee).

Questionable: Brad Beal (calf), Aaron Gordon (Achilles), Wes Matthews (thigh), Frank Kaminsky (knee), Damyean Dotson (back), Dennis Smith Jr. (oblique), Noah Vonleh (ass), Frank Ntilikina (groin), Mario Hezonja (back), Treveon Graham (illness).

Giannis is expected to play, so he’s not on here. The same is true for A.D. Bullock is expected to make his 2019 debut on the first day of 2020 after back surgery in the offseason. Bank on a minutes limit.

The Timberwolves did us a solid here and went ahead and ruled Towns, Teague, and Wiggins out already. Hopefully they don’t change their minds.

I put in my customary four lineups, but only one passed the cash line of 282. I had two of the lineups within five points of the line, but the one that did cash had no duds and made me my four bucks back. The Warriors stack with Harden and Capela worked well.

leach1228 took it down with a very modest 330 DraftKings points. I was only about 25 points behind that! He built with Luka instead of Harden and got big time value out of Kleber and Millsap with a couple of Warriors.
