Mirren has played many formidable females in her day, but there is something extraordinary about her fantastic turn as Catherine.
Catherine’s struggle to maintain power and love all while expanding her empire is incredibly inspiring as well as entertaining. Mirren is flat-out brilliant in the HBO mini-series, and her performance will go down in history as an absolutely stunning achievement.
