DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks January 9
The light part of round 18 is on Thursday again this week with four of the nine games in the DraftKings EuroLeague tournament for Thursday. EuroLeague injuries are messy anyway, but I’ll put up the preliminary report with this article and update it as we get closer to the Thursday afternoon (stateside) tip times.
Out: Kostas Sloukas (illness), Anthony Randolph (calf), Omri Casspi (knee), Jan Vesely (knee), Tarik Black (knee), Luca Vildoza (shoulder), Sergio Llull (thigh), Nate Wolters (hip), Nemanja Nedovic (quad), Ahmet Duverioglu (ankle), Marius Grigonis (foot), Jon DiBartolomeo (pectoral), Stefan Peno (knee), Patricio Garino (knee), Jayson Granger (knee).
Questionable: Scottie Wilbekin (ankle), Gabriel Deck (knee), Felipe Reyes (thigh).
Considering Wilbekin traveled with the team last week and for the domestic league games over the weekend, I would think that he’ll play here. Stay tuned. Siva and Lauvergne are listed as available, but I would expect both to play limited minutes.
Friday’s lineup was again full of solid contributors, but 140 hasn’t been cashing lately.
The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.
