DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Luka Doncic ($12,600): Unfortunately, this is Luka’s last crack at the Lakers in the regular season this year. He has averaged 56.7 DraftKings points over the first three meetings but had just 35.5 in L.A. a couple of weeks ago. I can see a fade here, but it helps Luka’s cause if Bradley is out. Still, Doncic is a threat to go off every game. That’s what you’re paying for here.

Trae Young ($10,400): Trae hasn’t played Washington yet and he’s still averaging 50 DraftKings points per game on the season. He has at least that mark in every January game and has only been below it once in the last month. I see no reason for a fade here. Young has every bit the upside that Luka does and a much easier matchup.

Honorable Mention:

De’Aaron Fox ($7,500): Fox is putting up some big numbers lately, fueled by the absence of Bogdan. With Bogdan out again, expect to see Fox’s scoring numbers pretty high again. There are a lot of traps in the middle tier of point guard tonight. Don’t fall into them. Fox is at least a safe option.

Elfrid Payton ($6,300): Payton was a dud against Utah because he had ZERO assists as the starting point guard. The 24 minutes played even with DSJ out is also a very disappointing development. Payton seems to have a short leash, which makes it hard to use him. However, the ceiling is nice in a matchup like this. Payton just has to start strong to keep in the game.

Dark Horses:

Markelle Fultz ($5,800): Fultz continues to put up strong numbers, and it could be even better tonight. Augustin is generously listed as doubtful. That should mean more opportunities if not more minutes for Fultz. He put up 27 DraftKings points against Phoenix the first time around. I would be surprised if he fell short of that tonight.

Delon Wright ($4,900): I usually wouldn’t trust Wright, but the Mavs have started him in the last two games with Porzingis out. On top of that, Wright has 94 DraftKings points in 70 minutes against the Lakers this season. I would expect Dallas to go small again with Wright playing well. He’s a little more reliable than THJ.
