The No. 1 LSU Tigers will face the No. 3 Clemson Tigers for the 2019 National Championship in college football. Here is how to watch it online.
It all comes down to this. The final game of the 2019 college football season will be between the No. 1 LSU Tigers (14-0) and the No. 3 Clemson Tigers (14-0) for the national championship. LSU looks to win its first national title since 2011, while Clemson looks to repeat as national champions this year. Here is how to watch this title bout online via live streaming.
Kickoff from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana will be at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT on Monday, Jan. 13. ESPN will have the national telecast. The available live stream for this game can be found on WatchESPN.
LSU earned the top seed in the 2020 College Football Playoff by going undefeated during its regular season. The Tigers then crushed the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship to earn that top spot in the playoff. They would then go on to dismantle the No. 4-seeded Oklahoma Sooners out of the Big 12 in the 2019 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
Clemson earned the No. 3 seed in the 2020 College Football Playoff. The Tigers obliterated the Virginia Cavaliers in the ACC Championship, having not been tested all season in a down ACC. This led to Clemson being only the No. 3 seed in the playoff, despite being reigning national champions. They would then survive the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2019 Playstation Fiesta Bowl.

There are so many reasons to watch this game besides seeing who will win the college football national championship. For LSU, you have the opportunity to see the single greatest season out of a quarterback ever. Joe Burrow has been utterly transcendent for the Bayou Bengals during his Heisman Trophy-winning season. He is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
For Clemson, they have a tremendous opportunity to keep their winning streak alive. Should Clemson defeat LSU as back-to-back national champions, Clemson will likely break the USC Trojans’ record of consecutive games won, stemming back from the peak of the Pete Carroll era in Los Angeles. Clemson may lose maybe one game next year, that’s how dominant the Tigers are.
Ultimately, we have a shot at seeing one of the greatest national championship games of all time. Everybody outside of the Palmetto State thinks LSU will win this one easily in New Orleans. However, no team has defined the College Football Playoff era quite like Dabo Swinney‘s Clemson program. They’ll be ready for Ed Orgeron’s team in primetime on Monday night in the Superdome.
