Here are the 2020 Oscar nominees announced Monday, Jan. 13 in advance of the Academy Award’s Feb. 9 show.
The Academy will announce the 2020 Oscar nominees this morning, starting at 5:18 a.m. PT and 8:18 a.m. ET. The nomination ceremony will be/was streamed live on Oscar.com and Oscars.org (way to own that domain name, Academy) and also on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. John Cho and Issa Rae are doing the honors of reading out the names of 2020’s honorees.
For those setting alarms and watching it unfold in real time, the announcement will be split into two parts. The early birds will see the nominees for Actor in a Supporting Role, Actress in a Supporting Role, Costume Design, Film Editing, Original Score, Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing announced at 5:18 a.m. PT and all the other categories (Actor in a Leading Role, Actress in a Leading Role, Animated Feature Film, Cinematography, Directing, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Song, Best Picture, Production Design, Visual Effects, Adapted Screenplay, Original Screenplay) starting at 5:30 a.m. PT.
