DraftKings NBA picks January 16: How many Nuggets are gold?

We have a solid five game DraftKings NBA slate tonight. Aside from Giannis and Kawhi, it is lacking in star power, especially since the Pelicans are holding out Zion until a nationally televised game over the weekend to make his debut. It was originally thought he could return against the Jazz. There are still some nice options here though. First, we have to see who is sitting with Zion on the sidelines.

Out: Jrue Holiday (elbow), Paul George (hamstring), Zion Williamson (knee), Steph Curry (hand), Klay Thompson (knee), Jaylen Brown (thumb), Kevon Looney (abdomen), Kelly Oubre (concussion), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Jamal Murray (ankle), Gary Harris (adductor), Paul Millsap (knee), D.J. Augustin (knee), Reggie Bullock (neck), J.J. Redick (hamstring), Jahlil Okafor (back), Mike Conley (hamstring), Dennis Smith (oblique), Frank Kaminsky (knee), Al-Farouq Aminu (knee), Robert Williams (hip), Jacob Evans (face), Darius Miller (Achilles), Kenrich Williams (back).

Questionable: Evan Fournier (quad), Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder).

I kind of expect Tatum to play here. Boston was just holding him out of the easier first game of a back to back set. The rest we will just have to wait on.

I rode the Russ train in every lineup, but zero exposure to Luka and Sabonis hurt my bottom line. Horford, CJ, Powell, Melo, and Gordon were all solid. All of my lineups were near the money and I at least broke even.

bjnfan took it down with 369 DraftKings points. He built with Russ as well and got big value out of Markelle Fultz, Tobias Harris, and Celtics value. What really put him over the top was his gamble on Michael Porter.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
