2. Add A Top-End Wide Receiver

Corey Davis has continued to underachieve (43 receptions for 601 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games this season), but he was a first-round pick and it’s worth wondering what he could do with a healthy and competent quarterback for a full season. A.J. Brown showed he belonged as a rookie this year, leading the team in catches (52), yards (1,051) and touchdowns (eight) as he averaged 20.2 yards per catches (second in the league).

After that, it gets thin. Adam Humphries is highly paid after signing last offseason, but he’s an ordinary talent. Tajae Sharpe has had some moments, but has never quite put it together consistently in his career. But this year’s draft class is deep at wide receiver, and it’s worth wondering if the Titans will look hard at a veteran like A.J. Green in free agency.

No matter who the quarterback is next season, the Titans could use another legit perimeter weapon. Even their late first-round pick (29th overall?) could yield an immediate difference-making wide receiver, if free agency doesn’t yield anything.
