DraftKings EuroLeague basketball picks January 23
The heavy part of round 21 of the EuroLeague begins today. We have five games for our DraftKings EuroLeague tournaments today. This one if very guard-heavy with James, Shved, and the Belgrade backcourt on here. Who should we use? First, let’s find some value from injuries.
Out: Alberto Abalde (illness), Omri Casspi (knee), Jordan Loyd (foot), Janis Strelnieks (hamstring), Tarik Black (knee), Dejan Davidovac (ankle), Mike Tobey (calf), Yovel Zoosman (thumb), Branko Lazic (undisclosed), Joan Sastre (illness), Nate Wolters (shoulder), Kevin Pangos (toe), Dmitry Khvostov (ankle), Marko Jagodic-Kuridza (Achilles), Stratos Perperoglu (knee), Filip Covic (leg), Will Clyburn (knee), Jon DiBartolomeo, Patricio Garino, Jayson Granger (knee).
Questionable: Nihad Dedovic (back), Thomas Huertel (knee), Maurice Ndour (undisclosed), Luca Vildoza (shoulder).
Huertel did practice for the first time all season this week, but even if he does play, he likely wont see enough minutes to be a factor. We are still a couple rounds away from Huertel being worthy of a dart throw. Vildoza may be worth a look if he is cleared to play, but I’m a little nervous about limits he may be on.
The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.
