DraftKings NBA picks January 24: Kawhi or Russ?

Today isn’t your normal Friday for DraftKings NBA tournaments. I guess Charlotte forgot it was Friday and scheduled a matinee game. The bad part is that takes Giannis off of the ten game DraftKings NBA main slate. We wouldn’t use him anyway, right? Not on the potentially limited minutes in a blowout of Charlotte. This will focus on the ten game DraftKings NBA main slate. The early showdown is a difficult one.

Out: Paul George (hamstring), Andre Drummond (mouth), Steph Curry (hand), Klay Thompson (knee), Jayson Tatum (groin), Jaylen Brown (ankle),Malcolm Brogdon (concussion), Marvin Bagley (foot), Jamal Murray (ankle), Victor Oladipo (knee), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Richaun Holmes (shoulder), Lauri Markkanen (pelvis), Wendell Carter (ankle), Luke Kennard (knee), RJ Barrett (ankle), Patrick Beverley (groin), Otto Porter (foot), Enes Kanter (hip), Daniel Gafford (thumb), Paul Millsap (knee), Mason Plumlee (foot), D.J. Augustin (knee), Justise Winslow (back), Cam Johnson (quad), Jabari Parker (shoulder), Aron Baynes (hip), Patrick McCaw (nose), Dewan Hernandez (ankle), Jake Layman (toe), Nene (hip), Gerald Green (foot), Kevon Looney (abdomen), Al-Farouq Aminu (knee), Robert Williams (hip), Andre Roberson (knee), Chandler Parsons (concussion/labrum), Deandre Bembry (personal), Darius Miller (Achilles), Kenrich Williams (knee), Bol Bol (foot), Blake Griffin (knee), Khyri Thomas (foot), Andre Iguodala (personal), Bruno Caboclo (knee), Frank Kaminsky (knee).

Questionable: Jimmy Butler (knee), Michael Porter (back), Steven Adams (ankle),  Goran Dragic (calf), Kendrick Nunn (Achilles), Gary Harris (groin), Bruce Brown (illness), Abdel Nader (ankle), Turd Ferguson (personal).

They finally found something wrong with Markkanen. If he has been battling this all season, it explains a lot. Gary Harris is expected to play, which makes him a strong play for an undermanned Denver squad.

Two of my three lineups and the late night one cashed last night. I had Beal, Howard, and Ariza in all lineups and Dame, LeBron, and Luka in the nightcap. I even survived a goose egg from Boban. That almost never happens. The strong value of Seth Curry and Ariza helped bail me out.

shrek4224 got the takedown with 360.5 DraftKings points. He build with LeBron and LIllard and got huge value out of Ariza, Taurean Prince, Nance, Kleber, Howard, and Collin Sexton.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
