This week, the NFL presents the FanDuel community with the Pro Bowl! Let’s take a look at this game from a fantasy football perspective!

Before I get into my Fanduel player selections for the Pro Bowl let’s review the rules for the FanDuel single game contest.

The rules for the single game contest are rather simple. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team’s MVP. The MVP has added significance due to the fact that the MVP accumulates 1.5 times the standard FanDuel points.

The remaining four players in your lineup will obtain the standard FanDuel points. Having stated that, it is highly important to select the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to take down a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the single game contest I highly recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details..

Here are my players selections for the Pro Bowl!

MVP-Lamar Jackson $14,500

I want to point out from the outset that selecting the correct players in a Pro Bowl is extremely difficult. After all, this football game is an exhibition. However, sometimes in these exhibitions you can ascertain that a few players may have a distinct advantage with regard to playing time. Obviously, playing time is a big factor in a Pro Bowl. For me, trying to gauge which players actually are on the field significantly more than other players is a big deal as you assess this game from a fantasy football perspective.

Having stated that, I think that Lamar Jackson has a clear advantage to be on the field often on Sunday. If Lamar Jackson is on the field a high number of minutes on Sunday, he is going to score a large amount of fantasy points, I assure you. Keep in mind that this is an exhibition game. Jackson was a fantasy god this season in games that counted. In an exhibition like the Pro Bowl, he could be a fantasy monster.

It should also be mentioned that the head coach of the AFC team is Baltimore’s John Harbaugh. I think it’s fair to assume that he will take care of his quarterback and make sure he sees the field often on Sunday.

Quite frankly I love Lamar Jackson as the MVP in this game. For me, Jackson has the highest ceiling of any football player on this one game slate.

Flex Plays

Drew Brees $14,000

For my first flex play, I am rolling with New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson is listed as the starter for the NFC. However, Brees has not played a football game since Wildcard weekend. In contrast to that, Russell Wilson went deep into the playoffs. I just think Wilson does not get on the field as much as Brees in this game.

If you give Drew Brees time on the field in this likely high scoring exhibition game, believe me he is going to throw several touchdowns. I clearly don’t expect much defense from either team in this game.

Michael Thomas $12,500

I don’t think I need to say much here. Anyone that reads this article likely knows that Michael Thomas was outstanding from a fantasy perspective this season. If my game script is accurate and Drew Brees plays well, I think it’s safe to say he will target Thomas often on Sunday afternoon.

Mark Ingram II $10,000

Continuing my game theory that Ravens coach John Harbaugh gets his players a good amount of playing time in this week’s Pro Bowl, I am taking a chance on Ravens running back Mark Ingram II. The Browns Nick Chubb is listed as the starting running back for the AFC and the Titans Derrick Henry is listed as the back up. Ingram II is listed as the third back. However, I am not concerned with that. I just can’t see Derrick Henry getting a ton of work in this game. Henry was used so much in the playoffs I just wonder how much he actually wants to see the field.

Mark Andrews $9,000

For my last flex play I am going with Baltimore tight end Mark Andrews. For those that don’t know, Andrews was a favorite target of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson all season. I just have a feeling that Andrews gets multiple redzone targets in this game. At a FanDuel price of only $9,000, Andrews is certainly worth the risk!

Next. Should you draft Jameis Winston in 2020?. dark

As always, good luck! Enjoy the Pro Bowl!
